She was born in Saigon into a family of Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese Medicine practitioners. Her grandfather was an Herbalist and Acupuncturist; her father was a war medic and general medical practitioner. Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese Medicine was practiced daily, through food, exercises, massages, and even the most mundane things in her household. She grew up immersed in a love and appreciation for holistic wellness. She completed her Masters program, TCM clinical training and graduated magna cum laude at Emperors College in Santa Monica, California. She is licensed in North Carolina and is a national Diplomat for Acupuncture.
